Upgraded to Windows Vista SP1 and it's brought my PC to its knees. In particular, Windows Live Messenger and Internet Explorer both hang frequently and take forever to open new tabs/windows. (Perhaps it has to do with updates to Messenger and IE, not Vista SP1--I think I recall seeing that Microsoft Update downloaded a bunch of updates at the same time I downloaded SP1.) But in a nutshell, I'm pulling my hair out! Going to try restoring my PC to a time before downloading SP1 to see if that addresses the problem.

actually, I think sp1 is even slower than the original one...that sucks a lot...some of my programs have to be reinstalled after I installed SP1 (thanks god, they go automatically)...SP1 = another disaster for windows users...
